Uyyy.. one month ago na yung Mother’s Day! Hindi ko man lang nakwento. Ikwento ko pa din ha for documentation purposes. Madami akong photos. Grainy photos pero worth it itago for sentimental value. Alam niyo naman ako sentimental: half senti, half mental! Lelz! =) Here’s what happened during this year’s Mother’s Day.
I woke up with hugs and kisses from Anika. I expected a cake but as usual wala. Hindi ko ba naman maintindihan bakit para sa taong tulad ko na napakahilig sa magagandang cake, ako lagi ang walang maayos na pretty cake pagmay okasyon. Ako pa naman si konting kibot dapat may cake. I love beautifully decorated cakes. I love giving them and I love having them. There’s something sa cakes kasi di ba? Pagmeron ka nun parang important ka kasi pinaghandaan ka nila. Ganown.
Anyway, we were meeting up Wowa and the rest of the gang later that day so I asked Anika to call up Alvin’s mom if we can treat her out for lunch. However, hindi pwede si Ka Lydia because magbabantay daw siya ng mga bata so we’ll reschedule na lang daw.
That afternoon we went out with my side of the family. Natuwa ako because magkikita kita kami. We seldom go out nowadays because all Toots and Russ want to do during the weekend is sleep. They have weird working hours eh so they are like zombies come Saturday and Sunday.
Alvin, Anika and I met first with Faye and Isabel. LT wasn’t able to go because she was parang resting or wasn’t feeling okay that day. We met up sa mall and did a little shopping. Hinayaan lang ako ni Alvin because Mother’s Day. Sana araw araw Mother’s Day. Lelz.
A bit later we met up with Toots and Russ. May pa flowers ang magjowa for me, Faye and Wowa. It was so sweet of them.
We went around while waiting for Wowa because nasa misa pa siya.
That’s Toots and Faye. I love these two sobra.
I know you’re asking where’s Noel. He’s living in Australia now. Immigrant na siya dun.
Wowa arrived around 6pm and we went na to the Thai BBQ Chicken Restaurant in Glorietta. That restaurant has been there for the longest time and never kami kumain dun. First time nung Mother’s Day.
Men, super sarap pala dun!
You have to order the papaya salad and the Original Chicken BBQ. Malaki na yung Original Chicken BBQ. Good for 2 pax and if mahina kayo kumain, 3 people can share it.
I don’t have photos of the food because naubos na siya agad before I remembered taking photos of them. Please just take my word na masarap yung Original Chicken BBQ nila. I highly recommend it!
After dinner, nagpictorial kami ng wagas. This is my family sans LT, Noel and Lolo Papa.
Russ and Toots with Wowa
Who does Toots look like? Si Wowa ba? Ako? Who do I look like? If you ask all my family members, they’ll tell you si Lolo Papa daw. Totoo nga?
Here we are with the babies in the family.
Growing up, I was imagining that I will have at least 3 kids. Then sabi ko 3 din si Toots, 3 din si Faye and si Noel. Masaya kako ito when we’re older. Madaming kids.
Kaloka because for 8 years si Anika lang ang baby in the family and then Isabel arrived. Tapos para madagdagan sila, dapat magdouble time si Toots! Hahaha! Kinuripot kami sa grandkids! Ang saya pa naman pagmalaki yung family ano? I’ve always dreamed of that. Madaming tao, madadaldal, maiingay and magugulo whenever we’re all together.
Di bale, may hope pa kay Toots.
These two girls are my favorite. I love Faye like my own sister and Isabel is like my second child talaga.
Again, thank you Toots and Russ for the flowers. Feel na feel naming 3 =)
Halata ba yung twinning slippers namin ni Wowa?
Here’s a photo of us girls. Ang gaganda namin. Walang tapon and that’s the truth! Hehehe!
Of course, there should be a photo of us 3, the Sombrero family!
When I got home, I poured myself a glass of wine and nagNetflix akish =)
It was a perfect way to end a very nice day.
Too late to ask but how did your Mother’s Day go, mga mumshies? =)
