No, it’s not naman what you think.
Alvin and I are trying our best to have a date night at least once a week. So far, hindi siya consistent because parang we need to do a lot of things after work. Twice a week, we take turns in fetching Anika in school from volleyball practice. That leaves us with 3 days na lang to attempt to go out on a date. Weekends kasi are reserved for the three of us naman. Kasama na ang bagets.
In that 3 days, we will be super lucky if our schedules match and parehas kami pwede.
One day last week, I called Alvin to ask if pwede kami magdate night. Oo daw. Yey! He told me to meet him at Resort’s World. He’ll go home first to change and then bring his motorcycle to Resort’s. Ganyan kami magdate. Separate transpo. Corny but walang magawa eh.
Anyway, Alvin called me when I was already in Resort’s World. He said that his motorcycle broke down and he was in the gasoline station near our house. He said he needed to wait for the mechanic kasi ayaw magstart ng motor.
Bad trip.
ME: Osige. Dito na lang ako. Magiikot ikot na lang muna ako dito.
ALVIN: Puntahan mo na lang ako, Babe. Dito na lang tayo magdate.
ME: Ano ba kainan diyan?
ALVIN: 7-11
How romantic.
Also, I know it’s super traffic going home from Resort’s. Better for me to go home a little later after the rush hour traffic.
ME: Nyar. Dito na lang ako. Magiikot ikot ako. Ang traffic sa labas eh.
ALVIN: Sige na, Babe. Samahan mo na lang ako dito. Dito na lang tayo magkwentuhan. Sige na…
Hay… Ako’y tao lang. Marupok pagnilalambing.
ME: Okay. Papunta na ako diyan.
I had to go around to Sucat via the NAIA X because the traffic in Nichols was hell.
The distance from Resort’s World to where Alvin was, was only 6 kms. I arrived there after an hour pa. Ganun ka traffic. Alvin was outside 7-11 when I arrived.
ME: Bakit ka nandito sa labas, Babe? Ang init.
ALVIN: Binabantayan ko yung motor. Baka nakawin.
ME: Dun na lang tayo sa loob mag-antay sa mekaniko. Amoy gas dito eh.
ALVIN: Dito na lang, Babe. Baka may kumuha ng motor ko eh.
I looked at Alvin’s Royal Enfield motorcycle. Ang laki talaga nun eh. Hindi yun kaya bitbitin ng basta basta.
I rolled my eyes. Love na love ni Alvin motor niya.
And so we stayed outside. Nagkwentuhan kami while I had my coffee.

After a while, nagpabili sa akin ng Coke ang lolo niyo. Bumili naman ako inside 7-11 then I went back outside to him.
We were seated on one of the benches outside 7-11. Yung motorcycle niya mga 8 meters away from us. Abot tanaw lang dapat and dapat makatakbo siya agad sa motor niya pagmay makita man siyang magtangkang hawakan ang precious motorcycle niya. Hahaha!
And then, his uncle arrived riding a scooter. Pinapunta niya kasi baka his uncle can start the motorcycle. Matagal pa kasi yung mechanic. He was coming from far far away. Alvin stood up and went to his uncle and the motorcycle.
While they were talking, I turned my back from them and started editing our photo so I can post it.
And then I heard a loud VROOOOM! VROOOOOOOM!
Ayun! Umandar na! Yey!
I stood up and turned to walk towards them.
Tapos ayun na sila magTito.
Nag-ride away from me.
“Ummm.. Babe?”, I said to myself.
Nakalimutan nila na kasama nila ako.
Leche yan.
Natawa yung lalaki na kumakain ng instant cup noodles sa likod ko eh.
Hindi ko alam if matatawa din ba ako or magagalit. Good thing I have a car. Kadilakad ako kung nagkataon pauwi.
Sa sobrang annoyance ko, I posted a video in my IG stories. My amigas said that obvious na irita ako sa video. I tried to make it light and funny pero nahalata na irritated ako.
Iwan ka ba naman teh after mo makipagsagupaan sa traffic, hindi ka ba mabwi-bwiset?!

When I got home, Anika was already there pero wala pa si Alvin. I started telling her what her Tatay did to me. When I was in the middle of my kwento, Alvin arrived.
ALVIN: O! Nandito ka na?
ME: Iniwan mo kaya ako dun sa gasolinahan.
I saw his eyes grew bigger.
ALVIN: Ay oo nga! Sorry Babe!
Sabay yakap.
ALVIN: Sorry! Nakalimutan ko. Nataranta ako nung nagstart yung motor. Baka kasi mamatay ulit kaya umalis ako agad.
Anika was laughing so hard.
Nag-apir sila mag-ama.
