I’m so happy that I got to meet up with some of my long time mommy friends that I met online because of blogging. Nagkaron ako ng mga friends like these mommas. Tanungan ko sila ng everything: where to buy this, where to go, how was the food in that restaurant, how was the resort/hotel. Being a first time mom, it was very helpful for me to have mommy friends like them. We were a support group. Wala pang mga group of online mommies before. Kami yata ang first, ano?

We all met a few years back (like toddler years pa yata ni Anika) because of our respective blogs. Those were the days na madaming authentic and raw blogs pa out there na free from advertorials and influence ng pera. When I started blogging nung dalaga pa ako (multipy/livewire) until around Anika was 4 or 5 years old, most people blog kasi naglalabas sila ng feelings, nagshe-share ng mga good finds and product discoveries or simply nagkukwento lang. That was also the time I discovered Chuvaness and idolized her. Ang dami mo kasing natututunan sa kanya plus you can really feel the realness sa mga stories niya.
However after that, ayan na. Parang nacommercialize na ang blogging world. I am not saying na lahat ha? Madami pa din blogs out there na magaganda. And there’s nothing wrong in earning from blogging. I earned (and am somehow still earning) from it. Kaso yun nga, nagsulputan na yung blogs na ang primary goal is to earn from it. I am not sure if they notice but that greatly affects their content. Ngayon, most of the blogs I see out there, ang pe-perfect nila. Mahirap to connect with them. Hindi mo na din malaman if yung ineendorse nila is masarap/maganda nga or dahil kasi bayad. Nagkaroon ng doubt sa credibility.
Again, I’m not saying that all blogs ngayon ay hindi authentic. Baka magwarla sila. Well, okay lang, eh di magwarla. Malalaman natin sino yung tinatamaan hehe. All I’m saying is that sana bloggers will not lose their authenticity. Yung ang need natin sa kanila eh in order for us to trust them and para magkasense yung blogs nila.
Teka balik tayo.
Even Chuvaness, after so many years of blogging, stopped kasi daw Instagram killed it. Lelz. What she said is very, very true. Nag-evolve na din ang mga tao ngayon. Most of them prefer na looking at photos na lang with captions. It’s easier eh. It’s parang more efficient and less time consuming compared to reading a whole blog post. Dumating na din ang mga vloggers. Mas madali for the former readers. Ngayon, nanonood na lang sila ng mga videos about sa buhay ng ibang tao or their recommendations. Hindi na kailangan to read.
I don’t blame them though. Ganun talaga. Nageevolve ang mga tao kaya if you want to continue your brand, you should evolve with them too.
Ayun na nga, there are so many good blogs that I was reading before that are discontinued na. Some of them were affected by Instagram (micro-blogging), some of them naman nawalan na ng gana and some of them naman na-busy na with adulting and life like my mommy blogger friends.
They were teasing me na ako na nga lang daw yung natitirang masipag magblog from our generation. Hahaha! Di naman siguro. Sobrang daldal ko lang talaga na hindi talaga kayang ma-contain and wapakels if wala na magbasa sa akin because of Instagram. Basta may outlet lang ng kwento and feelings.
To the long time blog readers out there, sino yung nami-miss niyo ang blogs? =)
