Fresh Out of the Dirty Laundry

Alvin and I were busy the whole day Saturday because we were in CSA to watch and support Anika and her team for their Smart Spike volleyball games.

Actually, ubos talaga oras ko nowadays since I started to become a sports mom. Hatid ako dito, sundo ako dun. Patay na din our weekends kasi for sure we are at Anika’s ball games. I’m not complaining though because masarap to support even though hindi naman ganun ka-dami pa ang playing time ni Anika.

Napa-cute niya lang talaga tingnan.

Ka Lydia watched Anika’s game for the first time last Saturday. Na-stress ako ng slight because hindi sanay ang lola with a strict coach. Everything’s good though. Lumapit si Coach kay Ka Lydia before the game and nagmano.

I was smiling lang while listening to them. Mantakin niyo during the first set, nagspike ng malakas yung kalaban.

Sapul si Anika sa face!

Natawa talaga ako but I contained myself.

The spiker from the opposite team ran to her to say sorry. Nakakatuwa din ang mga batang ito. They’re very nice to each other. Pero natawa ako talaga because Anika was the tiniest in their team, di ba? Siya pa talaga tinamaan sa mukha!

Naiyak ang Anika while nasa court. Masakit siguro. Pero hindi umayaw. Lumuluha while pinupunasan yung mukha ng jersey niya while nagaantay magreceive ng serve ng kalaban. She was a sport.

After the game, I told her, “Next time anak, lakasan mo ng konti pagnatamaan ka sa face para tumaas ng mataas ng kalaban tapos matira pa to the opposite side of the court.”

Natawa siya eh.

ME: But kidding aside sweetheart, you are now full pledged volleyball player.

It’s part of the game.

Today naman was the start of their Makati Meet league. Ang manalo dito will represent Makati in the NCR meet.

This morning, nagising ako because of Anika and her Ate Lyn’s voice.

Shet. Deadz.

I bolted out of the bed and ran outside the room.

That morning ko lang narealize that they were bringing all their jerseys!

I sprayed a lot of alcohol on them. I finished the small bottle.

Mabaho pa din. Nakulob sa laundry basket eh.

I sprayed it also with the thing I spray on my hair whenever I don’t wash my hair in the morning.

Naging tolerable.

Hahahaha!

Wala, olats. Sabog ang nanay.

I realized that I have to have more presence of mind for things like this. Anika was too tired last night that she fell asleep na in the car. Tulog ka when we got home and dinere-derecho na niya yung sleep niya. That was why hindi na siya nakapag-ayos ng gamit. Ako naman, assumera na nalabahan her uniforms from her two games last Saturday. Eh hindi pala. Deadz na deadz talaga.

I swear this shall never happen again. Hahahaha! Nakakaloka. Parang ako yung papagalitan ni Coach! Or force of habit na lang ito? Lelz.
